help a dm out please- player just does whatever /u/Different_Act_6560 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

hey yall, so ive been running this campaign for about 3-4 months now and im having a dilemma. one player is not being very communicative. idk if its just me expecting more than i should or what but its really starting to bother me. the player will just move their token all over the map or just randomly do things without telling me first. currently the party is split on different maps so im jumping back and forth (which is fine, done this before) but ill go over to the map with this player and just all of a sudden their pc will be looking at things that i havent even described or explained yet and THEY WONT SAY ANYTHING.

ive been a dm for about 5-6 years now, ive ran multiple games, i know every player is different and i dont expect each one to play how i would but my top rule for every campaign is to talk to me. communication is huge for me and ive expressed that multiple times over this campaign already. im just not sure if this is a me issue or if i should talk to the player about it. i want everyone to have fun and play how they want for the most part but im feeling at a loss with this one. any genuine help with this would be greatly appreciated, thank yall.

edit: (idk how to use reddit so i hope im doin this right) so i have 4 players, 2 of them are married (its fine, no special treatment) and the ‘problem player’ is the spouse of the other. they are autistic and i work with that, its not an issue. we did go from playing in person to online but even in person they would do this…
