fear abt risk of STDs for 1st time as teenagers /u/Serious_Ad4365 Sex

i read stories of teenagers having sex with their partners and losing their virginity on this channel, which is all good and great. but arent y’all afraid of STDs, i researched and STDs can exist even when you are a virgin and we could transmit them during intercourse.

I want to know is it superficial information? should i ignore the risk of STDs while losing my virginity with my gf who is also a virgin??

people who had sex as a teenager, were you encountered w STDs?

me and my gf both want to do it, we dont want our parents to know obvi, but we are scared at the thought of STIs even though we’re gonna use condoms.
