My parents have told me this for my entire life, with no contradictions or hesitation of any kind.
The story goes that shortly after they gave my mom the epidural, I shot out of her birth canal about 6 feet and had to be caught by a nurse.
There is no one else to corroborate this story besides my parents, but they have told the exact same story for over 24 years. They’ve told it to me and my older sister, friends, girlfriends, my sister’s boyfriends, and multiple family acquaintances over the years.
Whenever I’ve tried to look something like that up, I can’t find anything like it. From what I understand, what they have described is impossible. But they have been remarkably insistent about this for decades, so part of me really wonders if it is actually possible. Am I out of my mind? Have my parents been telling me and everyone we know an elaborate lie for my entire life? If so, what is wrong with them?
