New dev, game released on Steam, the spam is real. /u/SuspiciousGene8891 Steam on Reddit

Hello everybody o/

Hope your all doing well. I’ve released my game on Steam today and when I checked my email I’ve got about 5 emails asking for Steam keys. Haven’t given out any yet as I wasn’t born yesterday.

Now, before the game was out, I got an Email asking one so he can stream it. Seemed vey legit. So I’ll give him one. (haven’t yet)

But the 5 other ones, just seem too sketchy. I’ve got one asking for 4 Steam Keys for a game review. I’m like you only need 1…..Said they do game reviews but most of them just gameplay videos with no commentary on them at all.

Few of them in Russian.

So yeah I’ve been checking out their youtube/twitch/steam etc and could tell by a mile off if their legit or not.

So anyone else got these emails?

Oh and funny one, for your Wiki! I was like? Wiki? I don’t even need one of those and you certainty don’t need a steam key for that ;p
