So recently Hell let loose was given for free on epic games, and usually i just use windows gamebar for clip recording, but its not really optmized and it can tank my fps.
Ever since finding out about steam game recording beta i wanted to try it, so currently i am trying to somehow successfully launch the game from steam and have it be recorded too.
I got the weird url launch option down and i can normally launch the game from steam and it works, problem is that recording does not, giving me the “cannot get properties of undefined (readme GetAppID)”
And when i tried a different setting of the game launch, it boots me in the single player version (which just hangs on the cutscene) but the recording is working.
My main question is if this is even possible, because it is obvious that it only doesnt work when it launches with the epic game services. I would be glad if there was some sort of a workaround specifically for this or just in general how to use the game recording with anything else, and yes i know there are other options too like OBS with its background records, but that doesnt give feedback on clip saving and doesnt have a tempomary WHOLE recording like the steam one does.
I appreciate any suggestions.
