I started playing DnD with some of my friends a few months ago none of us have ever played before and I said I would like to be the DM they all agreed. Fast forward a few weeks and it’s our first session things go according to plan we go slow because all of us are new and I need to react in real time to the stuff my players do that I didn’t have written down. 15 sessions later we all have gotten pretty comfortable with the rules and I have become pretty good at thinking quickly and coming up with stuff on the spot. To summarize our campaign so far my players: started a lumber company with an investor who is probably a gangster, got a job working for a super cool Gandalf like NPC I made, went on a mission for the guy and killed the Eldridge eat god who had taken over some old mansion, they got a lot of money and used that money to repair said mansion and use it as a home, they accidentally put a bag of holding inside a bag of holding, they got on a ship to go to their next destination and tried to flirt with a princess and her maid but before anything could happen the ship crashed and they where washed onto an island where they found the bodies of the lady and her maid and put them in a bag of holding to see if the Gandalf guy they worked for could bring them back to life, than they built a raft to get off the island, got attacked by pirates, defeated the pirates and stole their ship than got stopped by the navy of the shive theocracy because they where in a pirate ship they got arrested because they where found with the dead bodies of their princess and her maid, they broke out of prison and now they are stuck halfway across the world in a city while they are being hunted down by the cops. Long story short starting a DnD campaign is the best decision I have made in my life.
