How do you show your internship and a promotion in the same company on your application? /u/coloneleranmorad CSCQ protests reddit

I’ve updated my CV recently and my current title is a “Backend Engineer”. The first experience (different company and this was just before my current company) I had was a job I started as an intern and was promoted to junior at some point and worked in that company over a year afterwards. So, in my CV, I’m showing that position as “Backend Engineer Intern / Junior Backend Engineer” and explaining in the description, I did this and this as an intern and then got promoted to junior and then I did this and that, and I keep that under one company name. Is this a good idea? It feels like I’m emphasising the intern part a bit too much and that might downgrade my performance. Should I rather separate these two completely so my recent experience before my company also seems like a junior experience instead of an intern or should I just mark this as a junior dev and not mention intern at all, etc. what is the best approach here to not to downgrade my experience by highlighting the internship?
