so I’ve been best friends with this guy for years right, we’re super close, and for I think close to a year our friendship has been like, developping a more sexual side. Not full-on sex yet but big stuff still. We kind randomly became more physically intimate and it went further and further. It’s really fun, like we’re still full-time friends, we just have a little bonus sex on the side. Yesterday though, him and I were leaving his house to go to the movies and his mom kinda cheekily asked me if it was a date. I kinda took it as a joke and said no, but it stuck with me. She thinks we’re dating, but she’s wrong. Is she? Is she wrong? We’re always texting, always hanging out together, we fool around pretty regularly, we’re also generally pretty physically intimate, I mean it’s not like we make out but we kiss sometimes if no one’s looking. He’s sort of my emotional support person, I’m always listening if he needs to vent even though he has a hard time doing it.. his MOM thinks we’re together. Did we accidentally start dating without noticing? How does that even work? I mean what defines dating, like what makes the difference between close intimate friends and a couple?
