I’m (unfortunately) watching fox entertainment at work, and they are covering the house speaker vote. There have been 3 prayers held so far… is that always the case?
I’m not shocked, but am definitely disgusted at the lack of separation of church and state.
I do not think the prayers were specifically Christian/abrahamic- but I’m agnistic/atheist and definitely do not think prayers have any place in official government proceedings.
Is this standard practice?
