Suits trouser drop too little /u/masterbuilder46 /r/malefashionadvice

I’m looking to buy my first nice suit but regardless of maker, the included trouser size is always too big. For example, I wear a US 39/EU 48 with a 30” waist. Brooks brothers is 6” drop = 33” pants, even my dream suit Ring Jacket is about the same

I’ve tried contacting many makers, none are willing to switch out to a smaller waisted pant. I’m very nervous tailoring nearly 3” will result in poor fitting pants, which is hard to swallow on $1.5k suits…

So what do folks do? Only buy separates? Such a bummer
