Should i play rdr 1 before 2?

I know that this question had been asked a million times before but I want to get a definitive answer.

I recently got both games and I want to know which way is better to experience these games.

I know that 2 is a prequel but I’ve seen some people say that the games are designed to be played in release order and that you’ll get more appreciation to certain characters and events. But on the other side I’ve seen people say that it’s better to play the games In a smooth chronological order.

A downside that is in playing 1 after 2 is the graphics and controls, 2011 and 2019 are different times in gaming so it’ll be hard to switch from the amazingness (if that’s even a word) of rdr2 to the early 2010s rdr 1.

Feel free to give your opinions and i hope to get an answer. Thanks for taking your time reading this.
