Does anyone regret the name they gave their child? /u/joe5991 No such thing as stupid questions

I don’t have kids but probably will in the next 3-4 years. It got me thinking about baby names and ones my wife and I have talked about in the past. I thought about names that I mentioned that I liked in the past, that I no longer care for.

Do any parents regret a name they gave their child, or does it inevitably grow to just be the identity of your child and you don’t even think of it like that? It would also be interesting to hear from people with unique or different names that may have wished they were named something more traditional. If you are this person, did you tell your parents you dislike your name, or do you just deal with it?

This is all more curiosity than anything else.
