Why does Kelly act like it’s the fist time she’s seen Ryan?

In season 2 episode 14 (the carpet) Kelly acts like she’s seeing Ryan for the first time before asking Jim to set them up. Let’s say she somehow missed him the whole time he’s been working as a temp, the second picture is from episode 7 in the same season and they’re having lunch together… I know the Kelly-Ryan thing wasn’t planned and just happened because the actors started dating irl, but WHY would she act like she’s never seen Ryan before?
