My friend buys PC games on GOG, I buy PC games on Steam. Last night we were talking about which platform is the better one, and he mentioned that if you buy a game on GOG you own the installers to that game, not just a license for it, you can play it even if the company removes it from the store. I told him companies that have made their games available for purchase through GOG have agreed to letting the game’s installers be distributed this way, so they have no reason to revoke a license on Steam since they are aware that they can’t do so on GOG, these companies don’t pick sides. At least I hope so lol. What do you think?
