Way I see it, there’s no way that Metro Awakening won the best VR Game Award, when this is the same year Blade and Sorcery released. So I guess the reason why Metro Awakening won, is because a bunch of people who have never played VR (since it’s a relatively small market) nominated Metro Awakening because they thought it looked cool… The Award is not called “Best looking VR Game”. I don’t mean to say that B&S is objectively better than Metro Awakening, but there’s no way that the majority of people who have played both games would nominate metro over B&S. Two other award winners I also don’t get: Liar’s Bar won “Most Innovative Gameplay Award”. Did people already forget about Balatro? And how come Silent Hill 2 won “Outstanding Visual Style”? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great remake/game, but it feels wrong to give the visual style award to a game that goes for realism in the graphics.
