Quick question about Dropped Items EFX /u/wallflower_b Monster Hunter: World

I played World on PC at release years ago and I just returned to the game after a long time, and found out I was missing out on a whole bunch of nice QoL mods, so I’m currently in the process of downloading them. I was wondering what the optional files are meant for. The main files (of which I downloaded Unique Version 3) seem to function as they should – display, color, and all. I got the “epv default colors” from the optional files but I didn’t notice any changes.

Is it perhaps purely for if I wanted to have files allowing me to change the hex and therefore the colors? I wanted to ask for clarification because I may be a bit confused. Thanks!
