Need some advice from those with/have partners with a scent kink /u/Alive_Librarian4373 Sex

My partner is pretty big on scent, both my overall ‘person scent’, and the scent of my vagina.

As much as I love how riled up he gets, I sometimes get anxious/self-conscious about how I smell, and if anyone else can smell me if he can?

There are some times where I can smell myself, I think, but it’s hard to tell if it is normal vagina smell or if I’m due a shower. For example today when he took my underwear off, he said he could immediately smell me, but I couldn’t smell anything?

I’ve tried to ask my partner about it, but he isn’t good at explaining it. The most he says is there are like, three levels:

1. Clean/Freshly Showered: doesn’t have a strong scent, is just an undertone, will want to stick his hands down my pants so he can get a scent

2. Maybe skipped a day of showering: has a scent, but isn’t dirty. Usually wants to go down on this.

3. Been to the gym, lots of sweating, haven’t had time to shower yet: has a strong scent but not in a puts you off way, just wants to pin me down feeling

My question here, is anyone else like this, or have a partner like this? And could you give me some insight on if the scent is like, idk, meant to be bad but you just find it a turn on? Or if it is a different thing/just how vaginas smell?

Is it just something you’re more tuned into because you’re dating the person?

I’m worried I’ve just been walking round this whole time honking (and I do shower properly daily btw) and no one has told me 😅
