My recommended ‘reels’ section of Instagram and the prompted posts when I go to the search bar are almost entirely thirst trap pictures/videos. I don’t follow or click on posts of anyone on Instagram other than my IRL friends and a few sports news platforms. I’ve been on Instagram for little over a year and this as far as I can recall has been the case since I first signed up. Is this just how it is, or have I somehow done something to convince the algorithm that this is what they should show me?
