I had a dog shampoo which says “Not tested on animals”. Does that mean they were never able to use it on a dog before it went to market? /u/Deep_Engineer_208 No such thing as stupid questions

Seems a very strange thing to put on a product that’s intended for animals. Surely it’d be much more reassuring if it was tested on animals. At least to the point where you know it works.
