Am I correct for feeling like the harm caused by paper bags just can’t compare to plastic bags? /u/HardAlmond No such thing as stupid questions

Trees are replantable and a piece of paper won’t choke and kill a wild animal. But plastic is entirely synthetic, and dissolves after only extremely long periods of time. That’s why I find it so baffling when I tell people paper bags seem better and they respond with “but the trees”.
