Hi everyone,
I’ve been a player since 2nd edition. Not consistently, but on and off over the years as groups have come and gone. My sisters recently expressed an interest in learning D&D, and I’m currently in an “off” period right now with no group. Long story short, the only way they were going to get the experience was if I stepped up to DM. I recruited my husband (another experienced player) to round off the group so he could also help guide them.
Playing a Wizards module from the starter set for noobs to help me out, but I’m still pretty nervous. Do any experienced DMs have tips for the new girl starting out? Right now, I’m most concerned about what happens when the players veer off the railroad and how you get them back on it.
