Hello all! New hunter here, World is my first Monster Hunter game! I am loving it, and have been playing solo so far (I didn’t want to inflict myself on anyone until I knew what I was doing!)
I’m considering trying some SOS flares or the like now, but I’m not sure how it works so I have some dumb questions!
When I start, I always create my own online session, and set it as “online ID only” coz I was afraid of strangers suddenly dropping it – does that restrict the SOS flare system?
Does that setting stop me joining shared event quests? Would it stop other SOS flares that I may want to help with from appearing in search?
Also, I usually set the quest to 1 Hunter – I heard that it scales the HP of the monster! Do I need to change that for the solo scaling to occur? Does telling it 1 Hunter stop SOS flares from being able to help me?
If I send a flare, how do I know if someone is coming to help me? Do they just appear?
