I just want a second opinion to make sure I didn’t screw myself by not negotiating salary /u/cs_obsessed CSCQ protests reddit

Hi, I graduated last Spring from my bachelors in CS and have been working on my masters in CS while doing an internship. I just recently received an offer for a full time position (at a diff company) and the salary was 78k. Everyone is always saying “negotiate salary” but I accepted the offer without negotiating much. To be honest, I was just excited that I finally got a full time CS position and I have no issues with the salary as is since I am starting out in my career and I’m just glad not to be dependent on my parents. I was also worried they would rescind the offer if I asked for more and the market is very competitive so I took what I got.

Anyway, I just want to know if this sub has warped my view of the salary I should be reaching getting or if I honestly missed an opportunity to demand a higher salary. Thanks in advance.
