I don’t understand why it’s so taboo to simply explain how sex works to kids if they ask. You don’t need to glorify it or go into side topics like LGBT unless you want to, but I don’t see any harm in giving a medically accurate bare bones explanation.
One of the reasons I’ve heard is we don’t want kids trying anything related to sex till they’re teens or older (depending on your family). But we tell kids about drugs early on and we don’t want them using those either. It seems kind of pointless to censor kids from knowing about sex at all till they’re teenagers and I’m pretty sure in old cultures and societies they didn’t do that.
