I realised that my mic sounded absolutely horrendous in Steam recordings and decided to try and fix it, managed to get it to sound normal by disabling echo cancellation and automatic gain control on both voice and recording settings but I still have an issue where my mic’s audio cuts off very frequently in recordings.
As I said I’ve already turned off Automatic gain control in the Game Recording tab, put the voice transmission threshold on “off” and disabled echo cancellation, noise cancellation and automatic gain control in the Voice tab.
Is there any way I could fix this?
