Is it actually common that husbands go through sex withdrawal from their wives? /u/kimchicece Sex

I hope the title makes sense. Recently I had gone through a patch with my BF (I am a woman), where my libido was higher than his [hormonal medication adjustment], and I felt a ray of emotions. We are good now but while exploring this topic and just generally going through social media posts, I see a lot of men complaining about how their long-term wives no longer have sex with them. This was extremely eye opening to me, I am a young woman, but I always had an understanding that women want and seek sex, especially from their SOs they are in love with, even as they age (ok maybe not when they are ELDER, but surely not just in their 50s and 60s..). Clearly, there are wives that are going through a withdrawal from their husbands, and many wives do sleep with and want to sleep with their husbands, but is this a seriously common thing going on? Why is this? Maybe it’s just me or the women I’ve always known and surrounded myself around, but when you are a human being in love with someone and don’t have any dysfunction [physical, health, etc], you will want sex. I’d love to hear different stories or theories, and of course my sympathies go out to anyone experiencing a constant and or long-term situation like this.
