I’m pretty bad at reading signs, and they need to be flashing in neon right in front of me for me to understand romantic signals. Basically, one of my friends and I have a teasing, bantering type of relationship. He’s always being playful with me and “roasting” me, but it’s never mean and it’s just how we vibe. I’m sort of feeling a bit of tension building between us, but I’m not sure if I’m just reading too much into things. It all started when we were joking with each other and he dramatically said something along the lines of, “Wow, I’m so hurt right now. The only thing that can improve my mood is a kiss.” I’ll admit, my response was definitely stupid lol. I raised an eyebrow and planted a kiss on my hand before gently patting his cheek. He was not amused. He continued on with the joke, smiling and saying, “I can’t believe you just did that.”
He’ll also lean against me, rest his head on my shoulders, etc. For some reason, I keep thinking that he’s only joking with me, and if I genuinely ask if he’s serious about what any of this really means, he’ll respond with, “I was only kidding around.”
