There is information about the orgasm gap but I have not found an answer to my question which is: during a sexual encountered how many orgasms does each participant experience. Guys are general good for 1 or 2 and possibly 3 or 4 if they are a super hero. However many women are just getting started after 3. So including all forms of stimulation including toy play, how many orgasms do women like to have. A few years ago I read a study but I did not archive it. I wish I had. I believe it found that sexual active women in collage had sex 2 or 3 times a week but between that and self stimulation had an average of 16 orgasms per week. Does anybody know of a study that can give some insight?
Edit: Thank you for your answers. Perhaps I should flesh out my question a little more. It is difficult because there are so many moving parts. All creatures strive for homeostasis, a balance. If they do not strike that balance, they become deregulated. If they are too hot they find a way to cool down. Hungry, they eat. Maslow and others see sex is a base tier need like food and sleep. I believe this is because it is the primary way people achieve psychological homeostasis. Life is full of demands and and can be arduous, but if you have a good sex partner(s) you can always flood your brain with oxytocin, endorphins, and other fun hormonal stuff and achieve balance. I am trying to determine how much people need to maintain the homeostatic state. I believe number of orgasms is a more relevant than sexual encounters because they trigger the larger doses of well-being hormones. Although that premise is also iffy because a simple caress can do a lot. Anecdotal answers are very appreciated. Just so everyone is working with the same reference could anecdotal answers be framed orgasms per week.
