Does shifter replace your subclass? /u/Fly_Eagles_Fly62 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I was thinking about making a totem warrior barbarian whos a shifter, thinking “wow, that sounds like a cool combo!”(tho im sure its not that unique) but I dont know if shifter replaces subclass or not.
