I’m planning the finale for my spelljammer game where the party has been prepping for a battle against an ancient Void Dragon to reach a magical forge before him.
I was thinking of doing the battle in several stages where there would be 3 separate stages for them to battle.
I thought first would be them in their spelljammer battling him in dragon form in space. Firing cannons, dodging breath attacks and asteroids, etc.
After that doing an encounter against him in a human form at the forge and then finally again in dragon form on foot.
Have people done multi stage fights? Did they go well or did it feel too much like a video game?
