Regarding Amazon delivery: This happened quite a few times when I lived in another state, and now that I’ve seen it happen twice in the past few months in my current state – I have a question. This is NOT about timely delivery; It’s about a delay of a day:
On Amazon, when tracking an impending delivery “live” on the map, I have seen the driver on the map a few miles from my house. For the delivery I’m tracking: On the map, they turn into the subdivision across the street, move a few times in the subdivision, then never move again and my package doesn’t arrive. The Amazon driver’s “marker” is at a location about 2 miles from where I live – and has been there for over an hour. The same type of thing happened at the last place I lived (in another state): The map says the driver has “X” number of stops to make, then it says “The driver has to make a few more deliveries on the way to your address.” – then the Amazon truck’s marker on the map stops moving and the package doesn’t arrive until the next day.
Any idea what’s going on in the background, on the map, or…???
EDIT: It’s an issue because when I see my package is getting progressively closer to me on the live map, and Amazon’s website says “Still arriving today by 10 PM”, I have adjusted my schedule (e.g. delayed leaving for some place) to wait for a delivery which doesn’t arrive until the next day.
EDIT #2: The truck’s marker moved on the map, and there’s an Amazon truck that’s entered our subdivision. Amazon may make me eat my words – at least tonight.
EDIT #3: My package was delivered, but I stand by the scenario described above on the map. The trucks “camps” a couple miles from you on the map, and the website says it’s comin’ – but it doesn’t come until the next day.
