How do people read 50+ books a year? /u/BeigeAndConfused No such thing as stupid questions

I consider myself a consistent reader. Between audiobooks and traditional print I read somewhere between 20-30 books a year, usually anywhere from 300-1000 pages a book (I’m wrapping up Under the Dome right now).

When I see people who read 50-100 books a year I don’t even process how it is possible. There are times in life where I am too stressed to focus on reading, reading longer books…takes longer, I sometimes take longer because of ADHD, etc. Even discounting all of those distractions I still don’t understand HOW. Are all of these people’s books under 200 pages? I know they aren’t only reading graphic novels, which are quicker to get through.

I am not even necessarily interested in reading that much, it just blows my mind it is possible.
