Did I just get scammed? /u/miredCF Old School RuneScape!

This guy came and asked to buy some nature runes 18,000 natures for $2M.
I traded him all my nature runes (18,000*3) and made $600k profit.

Then he asked for black chin chompas and I traded him several times.
In total I sold 11k chins for $44M. Which gave me a profit $2.9M.

Finally he asked me to buy mint cakes.
He bought 350 mint cakes from in over 4 trades for $97.2M, which gave me a $7.7M profit compared to what I bought at the GE for.

Then I bought another 300 mint cakes and he stopped trading me. I bought these mint cakes at 278k a pop.
Did I get scammed? How much do mint cakes usually sell for? What do you guys think?

Edit: Thanks for all the feedback. I love reddit for this. As a further reflection

I profited a total of $11.2M from all the trades I did with him.

If I can sell my 300 mint cakes for 241K ea. I will be in the profit.
If I sell it for 150k ea., which I think is doable I’d only be down $27.2M
If I sell it for 100k ea., which I think is easily achievable I’d be down $42M.

I didn’t know it was a scam because it’s crazy to think someone would spend time on this when $42M in real life is probably less than $20 USD.
