I’d like to get a job as a Software Engineer, but I’m facing some unique challenges.
I was hoping to get some feedback about my situation.
I wrote a more detailed blog entry that I’ll link to below, but here are the major points:
– I have a personality disorder (as properly diagnosed by a Clinical Psychologist) and social networking is nearly impossible for me. – I can only work remotely for an American employer. It’s because I live outside the US in a place that doesn’t allow me to work locally. – I have some minor, but chronic health problems. I can still deliver 40 hours of quality work per week, but I’m a little slower than I used to be. – I have a decent skillset, but not a nicely organized portfolio. I’ve got a lot of work I can show, but it’s a disorganized mess and I’m not motivated to clean it up if nobody will ever see it. I doubt my resume will ever make it past ATS. I’d rather work on new and interesting stuff.

… before you bring out the pitchforks, I’d like you to know that I don’t have ads and I don’t do any tracking.
