Nostalgia always hits the hardest around Christmas /u/_tough_1 World of Warcraft

Started my journey in the evening of Thursday the 22nd Dec 2005 with my Tauren Warrior. I only wanted to “play for an hour”, as I had school the next day.

Spend half the night playing and boy, did I suck at that game..

I never played a game like this before, I was overwhelmed and yet, it was so much fun. Still thinking back to the Christmas tree in Orgrimmar and opening the presents. We were so clueless back then, there weren’t really any guides nor understanding of how things worked or min-maxing.

I only got to see mc and bwl before TBC came out, but I spend a lot of time on warcraftmovies watching aq and naxx raids. It was kind of sad there was so little time and only a fraction of players were able to clear all of it back then. Glad they gave me the chance to settle the outstanding score with wow classic tho.

Good old times.. cannot believe it’s been almost 20 years 🥲
