I booked a massage. What should I know? /u/Mean_Old_World No such thing as stupid questions

I booked 90 minutes of Swedish massage for myself at a reputable spa. I’ve never previously gotten a massage and I have some questions.

Will I be asked to strip to my underwear, or just take my shirt off?

I’m obviously going to shower before hand, but are there any other hygiene considerations I should make?

Do I tip? If so, what percent? If so, at what point do I give the tip? Do I give it directly to the masseuse? Do I give it after or before?

Is a massage like a haircut insomuch as I may be expected to make and sustain small talk, or is silence the norm?

Is there anything else I should know?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.
