Does our field have one of the most difficult screening processes?
I don’t know about any other industry except software engineering. I was hoping some people here might be able to chime in with their parents’, sibling’s, cousin’s, friend’s, etc. typical interview process who is in a completely different field.
For us, we have to do LeetCode to answer DSA problems efficiently while talking about different approaches and explaining the time and space complexities. As well as system design stuff but I feel like that can sort of be learned on the job for the most part (obviously there are some gaps like learning how exactly you should be answering or going about solving a system design problem).
It’s also like pretty normal to have like 2 (if not more, probably more) technical interview rounds.
I’m naive and ignorant to other industries. Do we have it good? Bad? If bad, how bad? Like the worst industry out there in terms of difficulty and whatnot?
