Trying to up find the missing piece of a shoe collection /u/LoneStarGeneral /r/malefashionadvice

I’ve read as many of the MFA guides but I’m still looking to improve my footwear game in the more casual end, as I find myself wearing blundstones 99% of the time (including with shorts, ughhh).

I own the following:

  • Blundstone chisel toes (suede, dark brown)
  • Clarks Desert Boots (brown)
  • Oxfords (wingtip, black leather)
  • Runners (colourful, great for running, not for casual wear)

My office is business casual, so the blundstones and CDB work well there (paired with chinos and jeans). I’m a guy in my 30s and generally dress fairly casual (jeans, chinos, oxford shirt, chore jacket).

I feel like I am missing shoes for the following types of outfits:

  1. Shoes to wear with a polo shirt and chino shorts in summer, or perhaps with jeans. Would these be good options:

b. https://www.softmoc.com/ca/i/sperry/mens/shoes/mns-mako-2eye-boat-shoe–amaretto/0764027

  1. Slightly dressier shoes to wear with my jeans or chinos when I go out dancing. Would these be good options? I see grey and suede widely recommended on MFA for more casual use.

b. https://www.allenedmonds.ca/en/product/mens-strandmok-cap-toe-oxford-with-dainite-rubber-sole-7014667/hunting-green-suede-ec0500381

I’m in Canada so don’t have as much access to US brands. However, AE is having a sale right now hence the two optiosn from there.
