In a recent conversation with my (M33) girlfriend (F38), I shared with her that a former girlfriend used to pressure me into sex when I didn’t want to, for example when I was sick or stressed, I had to be up early, or we had been fighting and I just wasn’t in the mood. She wouldn’t take no for an answer, refusing to let me sleep until I gave in to her demands. I considered this a violation of consent.

My girlfriend reacted by saying she would do the same thing and not feel bad about it. She considers it a way to make each other feel better and reconnect when someone is mad.

She also pointed out that a man can easily push a woman off himself and leave a situation like that, so because I stayed and let it happen, I consented.
