Iceborne armor without having the DLC (transmog mod) /u/Dokeda Monster Hunter: World

This might be an odd question and probably a dumb one but I plan to replay MHW on PC (without Iceborne) in the meantime before Wilds releases.

I used to play on console with the DLC but since I upgraded my PC and I don’t feel like buying once again Iceborn

Now the thing is I plan to play with some mods (reshade, QoL…) and transmog mod in mind but I was wondering since layered armor won’t be a thing without DLC if I can still equip the visual aspect of Iceborne armors without actually having it. I’ll be 100% offline for the mods as well I don’t want to interfere with other players when I’m rocking mods.

Are the files within the main game or do I need the DLC just to be able to have the armor skins. If it doesn’t work I suppose it would just be blank with default underwear ?
