Why do Redditors think they can be rude, insult and degrade anonymous strangers? /u/barbielicious111 No such thing as stupid questions

I genuinely want to know. I make a knowledgeable comment on a subject i’m familiar with and some Redditors think they know better and proceed to downvote and belittle me. Is it because you’re anonymous behind a computer screen and not aware of how damaging it can be to treat others this way? Because i have news for you -that shit overflows into your life. Yes, it does. If treating people disrespectfully is something you do online then you obviously some more serious issues. Perhaps before your next degrading comment, back it up, and consider where it’s coming from. Get professional help for your inadequacies before involving yourself in an adult conversation. End rant/
