I got a really nice overcoat recently. I noticed it has a front breast pocket that is sewn in. I want to experiment putting pocket squares in the overcoat…
Can I safely open up the front breast pocket on my overcoat? Just concerned about ruining it if I do. If I open it, will the breast pocket flare out and mess with the silhouette? Or will it still look straight?
I know with suits you can open the front breast pocket with no issues, but wasn’t sure if the same applies to overcoats.
