I’ve worked at two different places and my professors had recommended I get a masters through my workplace. I’ve seen they have a program for tax reimbursement for about 1 class $5500 but I don’t get how anyone gets this. Ive worked for 4 years at my current company but only have a bachelors. I’ve asked my managers and both said it’s typically for foreign students to attain the status to keep working in the US. I want to go for it for additional skills and get a higher salary but I can’t seem to get my work to agree to it even though they’re large companies. Is this really only allowed for foreign workers? 90% of my team is Indian and most are doing them though it was a requirement because they didn’t get H1B approved. I asked about their programs and they said not to do theirs because it’s really just a requirement so they can work. What’s the deal with this? Should I try to join a different company or how have other new grads gotten your managers to agree to it?
