Killed nergigante but dont feel like im getting better at the game /u/JohhnySins69_420 Monster Hunter: World

I played on ps4 with kinsect blade, after buying a pc and getting the game there i restarted and decided to switch weapons, i went with switch axe and while i felt like i was becoming better with kinsect, i feel very inconsistent with swax. Any advice?
