Feel like I’m playing WoW just because that’s what I’ve always done /u/Vallyth World of Warcraft

Recently came back after missing SL and DF.

I’ve gotten a few characters up to 80, got them PvP geared and now PvE geared-ish through the Siren Isle update.

However, I can’t say I’ve felt one way or the other about the experience. It feels more like I’m going through the motions of playing since it’s a game I’ve always played, rather than playing because I enjoy the gameplay.

I don’t know how else to describe it. Almost like it’s just another part of my day, maybe?

I know the answer is to quit if I’m not having fun, it’s just frustrating to walk away from years of character building.

Has anyone else gone through this, or something similar? Did you ever get back into it again and feel like you were having fun later on down the road?
