This achievement is absolutely a pain to do, if you didn’t get it back in BFA or another time when it was only having to kill 20 mobs in that timeframe. Leashing is also a pretty big problem, but there’s ways to make this achievement much easier, and that’s what I’m here to tell all of you!
First of all, do not hit, taunt or otherwise use abilities on any of the undead until you are ready to kill them. Killing even one mob will ruin the achievement for you and you’ll need to do it on another character.
Second of all, don’t be in a group. That nullifies the achievement. Just have friends/guildies come along or work with others in the area. It is solo-able, more on that later.
Next, bring some friends or organize some strangers. Shoutout to my server cluster for organizing chaos! Have your friend (or do this yourself, have a stranger do it, etc.) kite the skeletons (specifically) SLOWLY in the area, walking backwards and letting them hit you occasionally.
They will not leash under this circumstance and you can pull them much further. This works best if several people are doing it, but it is more than possible as a single person. Simply pull all you can until there are a ludicrous number of skeletons (I’d recommend getting at least three platforms and everything between them) before having your achievement recipient uses the scroll to transform! After that? Simply uppercut and the achievement should be yours.
Bear in mind, if you’re using the scroll, you probably should not be kiting, as the mobs will disrupt you. Have others do that part. That transitions pretty well into…
Going it solo. If your server is a ghost town or you’re having trouble finding help, follow the tips above to make sure you’ve gathered up an army of the dead. Once you’re confident you have enough of them (you CAN count if you need to, but every second you do is a second someone else can come in), use a knock back, an AoE stun or a movement ability (I used Heroic Leap on my warrior) to get some distance and transform! After that, it’s just like before, you uppercut ’til the job is done and clean up some others nearby if you still needed more.
Anyway, I hope this helps people on their journey to Jani. If you’re watching others gathering up mobs, please don’t fly in and nab them from someone else, you might mess yourself and that person up, and that’s not really fun for anybody. Be patient!
