I recently purchased the Tokyo Slim Fit Italian Spread Dobby shirt from Kamakura. It is pretty heavily texturized with that dobby pattern, a bit more noticeable than I thought it would be from the pictures. I’m not too familiar with this pattern. Is it highly regarded? Is it less formal? I got it for a general shirt to wear with my suit or sport coat for events/parties that aren’t too formal (i.e. no tie required).
What are your general thoughts on a fairly noticeable dobby pattern?
