What class should I try next year? /u/nneddi_r DnD: Roll for Initiative!

👋 Hello! I’m pretty new to DnD. Ive started partaking in One-Shots with some people from my university since July and so far I’ve only played a lvl3 Fighter and Bard in combat. The fighter was because I thought it was gonna be easy as a beginner. I was looking forward to playing a character with spells but for some reason I dont think I liked the bard that much :/ Seems like a bard is very much not combat-based and more for the role play and those moments between the fights? I used to LARP and the lvl3 fighter was duel scimitar-wielding which hit home as my LARP character was using a small axe and a sabre back then 🥹 Are maybe spell-using characters not for me? The bard didnt feel as immersive…
