One year later: Still kicking and gaming! /u/NIXTAGMOS Steam on Reddit

Hey everyone,

About a year ago, I shared my story here and on the SD community while I was going through a pretty rough time, (https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/s/knv5NyCttL ) All of you were so kind with me and I wanted to give you all an update.

After a bone marrow transplant, I’m finally in a stable place. I’m on daily chemo pills, very fatigued and exercising my leg muscles BUT I gained the strength to reunite with my internet friends! The SD has been my constant companion and a lifesaver during those long hospital stays isolated from everyone.

If you’re going through tough times, whether you’re in a hospital bed, recovering at home like me, or just feeling stuck, hang in there. Find those little things that bring you joy, even on the hard days, for me, it was playing some simple or games easy on my brain and listening to the TV in the background.

To everyone who sent good vibes over steam or reddit: THANK YOU. Maybe I didn’t answer to everyone, but I read each and every one of your comments.

Keep gaming, stay positive, and have a wonderful time with your loved ones these days!!! !
