Hello~
Just wanted to know if anyone has worked for AWS in Australia before and what their experience was like? The recruiter I’ve been working with is very formal, and just seems so rigid and scared, which gives me a bad vibe for the team. Now to be fair, he is in China, so it’s probably a different culture there.
My first interview was with an engineering manager, and he was REALLY NICE. My 2 other interviews were with other engineers, and they also seemed really stiff.
Just wanna hear some thoughts before accepting this offer? From uni friends who have interned, they said it seemed chill, but obviously depends on the team.
Btw I don’t really care if it’s a lot of work, but moreso are people there generally friendly? Can I expect to have a good schizo convo at lunch wih them?
*Edit: I have an offer from a team I really like. Fun team, and interesting enough work. Nothing ground breaking, but it’s chill. Amazon’s offer right now is about +35K TC from that, and obviously it’s good to have FAANG on the resume. But, I don’t know if I wanna leave a team I really like just for money
